Neighbours has gained a lot of hype through social media and ads. And why shouldn’t it, a comedy about a fraternity vs family has crowd pleaser all over it. I wasn’t sure about this going into it, I do like Seth rogan but I wasn’t sure about Zac Efron in a comedy. You usually see him smack dad on the front a Nicholas Sparks poster. But, leaving the theatre I was pleasantly surprised. But, it wasn’t Seth nor Zac who stole the show, it was Rose Byrne! She stole every scene. The principal storyline of the movie was a couple with new born just moved into neighbourhood and they aren’t sure if they are quite ready to move past their college days. And on the other hand is Zac’s character who is the president of the fraternity, Delta Si. The fraternity moves in right next door to the new family. The film progresses as a tit for tat piratical joke fest and the writers surprisingly made somewhat of a Kevin James concept not only sufferable but enjoyable. Other notable stars in the movie are Dave Franco, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, and Lisa Kudrow. One thing I did not enjoy was the role of the police officer. I’m not going to spoil anything but, the police in this movie is so incompetent. Apart from that it is a movie suited for teenagers but enjoyable for all ages.
I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and I would recommend it to anyone
I give this movie a B+
